This position reports to the Land and Water Program Supervisor and is primarily responsible for Well and septic program activities including residential wells, residential wastewater treatment systems, Type II water supplies, Point of Sale transactions, surface water sampling, etc.  Additional duties may include complaint investigations, enforcement actions, consultations, and other related activities.

The salary is range starting January 1, 2027 will be $61,314.97 to $73,623.81/year.  Promotion to Sanitarian II happens upon completion of one year of service and obtaining RS/REHS certification.  Sanitarian II salary range is $73,194.90 to $87,888.87/year.
