Environmental Sanitarian I - Ionia County Health Department
Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
PAY GRADE 10: $23.21 – 28.41 per hour
Environmental Sanitarian I – Ionia County
Under the supervision of the Health Officer/Environmental Health Director, the Environmental Sanitarian I serves Ionia County residents and businesses by enforcing all county, state, and federal environmental laws/regulations and provides information on environmental health and sanitation issues.
The Ionia County Health Department (ICHD) works with the communities we serve to prevent disease, prolong life, and protect the environment. The ICHD Environmental Health team works with a variety of community partners, businesses, and individuals across a variety of environmental health programs, including food, drinking water, and septic systems.
This position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with some flexibility to meet community needs. Environmental Sanitarians provide rotating weekend coverage, as needed.
