The Tuscola County Health Department has an opening for a full time Environmental Health Sanitarian II or Sanitarian III.
Under general supervision of the Department Coordinator/Environmental Health Director, the Sanitarian performs a variety of advanced inspection, assessment, and educational duties to prevent risk to public health and safety through enforcement of applicable laws and rules regarding water supplies, wastewater, food service inspections, enforcement of Sanitary Code and all State and Public Health Laws, and other environmental health duties to protect residents from harm. Typical work week is 37.5 hours a week M-F with occasional weekend hours required.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental health or science (biology, chemistry, or natural science)
Hourly Wage Range:
Sanitarian II- $23.85-$31.08
Sanitarian III- $26.29-$34.26
