The Huron County Health Department has an opening for a full-time Environmental Health

Sanitarian I-II, located in the beautiful Thumb of Michigan.

Primary Functions include: Sanitarian I-II performs a variety of advanced inspection,

assessment, and educational duties to prevent risks to public health and safety through

enforcement of applicable laws and rules regarding water supplies, waste water, food service

inspections, enforcement of Sanitary Code and all State and Public Health Laws, and other

environmental health duties to protect residents from harm.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or related field.

Salary Range: Dependent upon certifications/registrations and experience $19.83 -$27.58
