Upper Peninsula Environmental Health Association
The Upper Peninsula Environmental Health Association is an organization of professionals dedicated to the development, management, and fulfillment of sound public health practices through statutes and rules deemed necessary to protect the public health and the environment of the Upper Peninsula and Michigan. UPEHA represents the 15 counties of the Upper Peninsula which consists of 4 district health departments, 2 county health departments, 2 district state departments, and private industry.
Each spring the UPEHA conducts a Annual Education Conference that consists of two and a half days of presentations that relate to the practice of environmental health. The conference promotes the growth of members and sponsors through continuing education.
Membership is available to any person in good standing who is:
- employed in the field of environment health or environmental management or
- active in the promotion of environmental health, or
- enrolled in a program of environmental or public health.
Memberships are issued at the UPEHA Annual Education Conference.
