Southeast Michigan Environmental Health Association

The Southeastern Michigan Environmental Health Association (SEMEHA) is a regional affiliate of the Michigan Environmental Health Association (MEHA) and was organized in 1961 as a professional organization for those who are “dedicated to promoting the betterment of health through effective management of the environment”.

Each year, SEMEHA sponsors two educational conferences that represent the professional interest of the membership.   Benefits of conference attendance include attainment of CEU’s, networking with other environmental health professionals and timely information on emerging environmental and public health issues.

Membership in SEMEHA is open to any person within the Region who is employed in the field of environmental health; or any person actively involved in promoting environmental health or a student enrolled in an Environmental Health or Public Health curriculum and is automatically conferred upon registration at a SEMEHA Conference.
SEMEHA regional counties are:  Saginaw, Bay, Tuscola, Sanilac, Huron, Shiawaseee, Genesee, Livingston, Lapeer, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Washtenaw, Wayne, Monroe and  Lenawee.
Contact a Board member for further information or with any questions, comments or concerns.  Your input is welcome.
