Annual Educational Scholarship Award


The Michigan Environmental Health Association (MEHA) is a professional organization whose main goal is to promote environmental health through education. MEHA's mission statement is "To provide MEHA members and environmental health professionals with means to access information relating to environmental issues."

The MEHA Educational Scholarship Award is a $500 scholarship granted once a year to a college student who meets the following criteria:

  1. The applicant must be pursuing a degree in the environmental health profession.
  2. The applicant must be a college student and currently have a sophomore, junior, senior, or post-graduate status.
  3. The applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and provide official transcripts. These transcripts must be sealed and come directly from the college/university.
  4. The applicant must provide two letters of recommendation from faculty.
  5. The applicant must be a Michigan resident or attending a Michigan college or university.

The completed application, official transcripts, and letters of recommendation must be received by the Professional Development Committee by February 1st of each year . Scholarship recipients will be announced at the MEHA Annual Educational Conference.
